Although Gwangju in Korea and Malta differ greatly in scale and geography, they share a common history shaped by rupture and conflict.

Both places have sustained life not at the center, but along the margins, upon fractures that remain unresolved rather than fully sealed.

Gwangju Pavilion: Dwelling in Fracture considers fracture not as something to be overcome, but as a condition of living—one that carries memory, time, and meaning. The exhibition reflects on the sensibilities and modes of inhabitation that emerge within these fractures, inviting audiences to reconsider their own perceptions and attitudes toward life shaped by rupture.

광주와 몰타는 서로 다른 지리적 조건과 규모를 지닌 장소이지만, 역사 속의 단절과 충돌을 지나 형성되어 왔다는 점에서 닮아 있다. 두 도시는 중심이 아닌 경계에서, 완전히 봉합되지 않은 균열 위에 머물며 삶을 지속해 왔다.

광주파빌리온: 균열 속에서 거주하기는 이러한 균열을 극복해야 할 상처가 아닌, 기억과 함께 살아가야 할 삶의 조건으로 바라본다. 이번 전시는 균열 속에 축적된 감각과 시간, 그리고 그 안에서 형성되는 삶의 태도를 사유하며, 관객이 자신의 삶을 대하는 감각과 시선을 다시금 돌아보도록 초대한다.
